DESCRIPTION:The Training Program in Neurobehavioral Genetics\, directed by Drs. Roel Ophoff and Carrie Bearden\, is now accepting applications for predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees. \nFINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE:\nFriday\, August 30\, 2024\, 5 PM (PT) \nPROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: \n\nPer NIH Grants Policy 11.3.2.6\, candidates must be U.S citizens or permanent residents.\nPer UCLA Appointment Criteria\, candidates must not have exceeded 4 years of postdoctoral experience (at UCLA and at other institutions\, combined) at the time of application.\nA Participating UCLA Faculty Mentor must submit a Letter of Nomination for a candidate\nIn the case that a candidate is appointed\, their mentor must provide supplementary funding throughout their period of appointment in order to cover the shortfall resulting from the difference between the UCLA standard stipend rate and FY2024 NRSA standard stipend rate.\n\nAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: \n\nLetter of Nomination from a Participating UCLA Faculty Mentor\nTwo Additional Letters of Recommendation (may be from faculty outside of UCLA)\nCNG T32 Application Cover Page (form attached)\nCurrent CV\nStatement of Objective (limited to 1-2 sentences)\nPersonal/Research Statement (limited to 1 page)\nAppendices (limited to 3): Published/Submitted Grants and/or Papers\n\nAll letters should be sent directly to the CNG T32 Inbox (CNGT32@mednet.ucla.edu) from the mentor and the recommenders\, not the applicant.
